The year is divided into 3 seasons: low, mid and high.
Rental weeks are calculated Saturday to Saturday, but we do try to be flexible if this doesn't suit your plans. There is a list below of dates that Le Bout de Sac is already booked.
Roughly speaking, we work it out like this: High season is any week that includes dates in July or August; Mid season includes Christmas, New Year, Easter fortnight, May and June, September and October; everything else is low season.
Rates are for the cottage, not per person. Le Bout de Sac comfortably sleeps up to six. The prices below are correct for all dates in 2010; it is possible that 2011 prices will differ. The rates are currently:
Low season.....£150 one week // £280 two weeks.
Mid season.....£180 one week // £340 two weeks.
High season...£240 one week // £460 two weeks.

Bedlinen: duvets and pillows are provided, but bedlinen costs an additional £5 per person to cover the charges made by our caretaker for bedmaking and laundering. Please specify on the booking form how many people require bedlinen and which rooms you will be using.
Security deposit: for all lettings we will require a security deposit against damage or an excessive cleaning requirement. We accept that things get broken sometimes and are quite used to the odd cup or glass being lost (we do appreciate replacements if this is the case); the deposit is for more serious damage to furniture or windows etc or for leaving the house so dirty or messy that we get charged extra by our caretaker. The deposit will be £120.00 and will be refunded as soon as we learn that everything is as it should be and we or our keyholder have received the keys back from you.
For a longer term let: we are happy to consider long term lets of three months or more at a considerably lower rate than shown above, especially during the off-season, for people who are house hunting in the area or for someone who just wants a quiet time "away from it all". Under these circumstances we would want to have the utilities billed directly to you and payment to us would be rental only. The rate would be in line with French rents, approximately 450€ per calendar month which would be converted to sterling, if required at the appropriate rate at the time. A "caution" (deposit) of two months' rent would be required in addition to any other arrangements for payment of rent.
